Cultural Exchange Program, 2024

I didn't attend my university graduation. I had a more exciting place to be.

 

In summer 2024 I worked at Walt Disney World, representing the UK as part of the Cultural Exchange Program. My role was Main Street Operations, which meant I got to watch the fireworks, parades and cavalcades every day - as well as helping with guest questions and crowd flow, obviously. I was even trained on the 'Meet Mickey at Town Square Theater' attraction, as well as helping on the 4th July and Halloween celebrations. 

 

I made new friends from around the world and spent the whole summer running around theme parks. What more could I ask for? It opened my eyes to the complexity of park operations, and I'll be forever grateful to the Disney Programs team who arranged so many educational talks, tours and classes. And I'll be grateful for getting 6/6 songs on Cosmic Rewind; priorities.
